Advanced Buoyancy Class

Introducing a diver to the benefits of controlling his buoyancy usually has a great positive effect, an effect that will enhance the diver’s sense of enjoyment and feeling of accomplishment. This specialty is designed to increase the open water diver’s understanding of the factors that influence buoyancy, and to train the diver how to use the means available to him as methods for controlling his buoyancy. The added benefits to the marine and freshwater environments, cannot be overstated; as well as a diver that has better control of himself in conjunction with his environment. Who this course is for: The certified diver looking to improve and/or fine-tune their buoyancy to prevent damage to the underwater world. Advanced Diver Development Program

The SDI Advanced Diver Development Program was created to make truly “Advanced Divers”. During the course your SDI Instructor will take you through four SDI specialties (deep, navigations, wreck and Nitrox) covering all the skills and subjects, so that by the end you will feel comfortable conduct dives of a similar nature. Once you have logged your 25th dive (these can included any and all training dives) visit your local SDI facility with your logbook and four SDI Advanced Diver Development specialties and you will be awarded the SDI Advanced Scuba Diver certification. By earning the SDI Advanced Scuba Diver certification you will increase abilities and comfort in the water and be ready for the next step, SDI Rescue Diver. These classrooms are best to get out of the way in the spring and we'll schedule the dives for when the water warms up. Advanced Nitrox

The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 to a depth of 40 metres/130 feet during dives hat do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career. Advanced Nitrox is also a great course for those wanting to extend their bottom times in shallower depths such as scientific diver, and a must for SCR or CCR divers. The course cover topics like Equipment requirements Dive planning Oxygen tracking Blending methods In addition to the course fee you will use the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diving manual for your course $39.95, which explains in an easy to understand practical manner the complex information that Advanced Nitrox divers need to know. CPR1st, like SDI’s other course CPROX, is a straight forwarded program that teaches what you need to know to respond to an emergency until trained professionals arrive. Decompression procedures

As sport divers planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The TDI Decompression Procedures course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45m/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. Your TDI Instructor will provide you with valuable information and skills, among the topics covered are Kit set-up Equipment requirements Decompression techniques Decompression breathing gases Gas management Contingency planning The TDI Decompressions Procedures course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. Deep Diver

SDI’s Deep Diver Course is a must for any diver wishing to explore a little more, go a little deeper, and learn the risks and benefits associated with deep diving. Many interesting sights lay just beyond open water diver training limits such as: beautiful wall dives, shipwrecks, and critters that don’t come into the shallows. The purpose of this course is to provide the necessary training to plan and execute dives that are beyond the depth range experienced during an SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course, specifically beyond 18 metres/60 feet and to a maximum depth of not greater than 40 metres/130 feet. By the end of the course your knowledge, awareness, and comfort level with deep diving activities will have increased. Inactive Diver Super Refresher +3years out of practice

If you haven't been diving in over 5 years we highly suggest you take our SUPER Refresher class. You will complete the same confined water training as open water student, but will not have to complete the homework or open water dives if you are still in possession of your original Certification card. We feel that after not diving for 5 years or more this is the best way to "dive" back into the sport with a comprehensive training that will make sure you have covered all skills to refresh an out of practice diver. The two types of snorkeling are: Snorkeling – Snorkeling is the use of mask fins and snorkel to primarily swim on the surface while being able to keep your face in the water without having to lift your head to breathe.
